This curriculum explores how socio-economic class influences our values, assumptions and options in ways that sustain systemic economic inequality. This 12 hour interactive curriculum is newly revised from a 2016 version. Participants learn about intersectional causes of extreme inequality and how to engage in cross-class collaboration.
The sessions include material specific to Unitarian Universalism to prepare participants for making your congregation more inclusive and for reducing inequality in our larger communities. Designed to be facilitated by non-experts, the manual provides mini-lectures, self-reflections, small and large group discussions, video links and a session for high school youth. This curriculum is free for anyone’s use and can be adapted to other faith traditions or academic settings.
